Passion Week
Today kicks off the biggest week in Christianity. Today is the start of Passion week; the anniversary celebration of Jesus' last week on Earth as a human before He died on the cross for us. It starts today, Palm Sunday when He entered Jerusalem. On to Holy Wednesday and Thursday when the last supper took place; when He went up to the garden to pray; where He was betrayed by Judas and tried. And then on to Good Friday, where He shed His blood and died for our sins. Finally, Easter Sunday, when He rose from the grave and ascended into Heaven proclaiming to return one day.

Blessed
Lots of exciting changes happening at the CCRC these days. This past week, we had a group of volunteers from Montana help us laying the foundation of the ground. Yesterday, many congregates volunteered on the land cleaning up forms and performing general maintenance on the land. We've posted various pictures and they can be accessed here and here.

July 31st: FROGS vs Lilies Cookoff
It's back! The 2nd ever CCRC cookoff returns Saturday, July 31st and this time, it's FROGS vs Lilies! The teams should have their food prepped the night before at their respective kitchens (FROGS at Bori's; Lilies at Mary's) and will begin cooking that food starting at 9am. We'll then gather to the church property to have 4 judges (2 women, 2 men; each group selecting one of each) to critique our food and the winner will take home bragging rights and the famous golden spatula (I've been assured that it's gold this time and not bronze). July 30th: FROGS Backyard Campout
Join the FROGS at Bori's house Friday, July 30th, 6pm for a good ol' backyard campout! Remember to bring your pillows, blankets, PJs, and whatever else you may need. You'll also be buying food for the cook-off and getting the food prepped. We look forward to seeing you there!

May 21st: Worshipalooza IV
Join us this Friday at N's for our 4th Worshipalooza! Music and worship will play a big part as always. There will be plenty of food (we will be serving gourmet hot dogs) and activities, and there may even be a surprise guest! The event starts at 6:30pm and we look forward to seeing you there!

Prayer Requests
- Please pray for the building committee; their members to give them the strength and knowledge needed for their upcoming projects.
- Pray for the Lord to work in people’s hearts and come to know Him by coming to our church or any other Bible-based church.
- Pray for our congregation's on-going mission to build His church in West Valley so we can minister to those who don't know Christ.
- Pray for the constant health of those that are sick, those that are pregnant, and the elderly.
- Pray for Chrystal Ly and her family. Her grandma passed away.
- Pray for all the Christians of the world. Also for 3rd world countries around the world that they may know the love we know.
- Pray for Chile and continue to pray for Haiti as both countries recover from earthquakes.
